About Lemon Snap Photography

My name is Sarah and I'm a full time mum, as well as a part time photographer.  I am based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and have been specialising in baby photography since 2006 setting up Lemon Snap in 2008.

My interest in baby photography really began to develop when my daughter was born in May 2006.  I brought a new camera and got a job as a freelance baby photographer for a local newspaper.

I adore photographing the expression and character of babies and although it can be tiring (I once photographed 200 babies in one week) it is always rewarding.

I offer a mobile service, photographing in your home.  There is no minimum age although it is advisable to wait till the baby is a few weeks old (so mum and baby will be more relaxed).

A photography sitting is not restricted to time but will generally take between 1-4 hours (depending on baby) and although parents do not have to appear in the photos, someone will have to hold the baby. The photos work best if there are minimal distractions so white clothes for both parents and baby will improve the pictures.

I typically take around 40-80 photos and work with available light (no flash).  I will direct you in order to get the best possible photos.  Editing takes around an hour, then you can view your images as a slideshow.  All you need to do is decide if you want a CD (available that day) or prints (delivered within 10 days).
